Myosa for TMJBDS Stage 3 - S3

Establish nasal breathing and correct TMJ function

The Myosa® S3 is used in the third stage of treatment, when the patient's Breath Hold Time (BHT) has reached 45 seconds or more. The non-mouldable S3 appliance provides optimum comfort and retention for patients who have established nasal breathing.

S3 Design Features

The S3 is designed for patients who are not chronic mouth breathers or those who have already undergone treatment with the S2 or S2M appliances.

Directions for Use

Prior to using the Myosa® appliance, the treating dentist may refer the patient to a medical practitioner for assessment of sleep disorders that have medical implications. The Myosa® intra-oral appliance provides treatment for patients with symptoms of TMJ dysfunction and BDS disorders and is to be used during the day until comfort is achieved. Once accustomed to, it should be used for one hour per day and overnight while sleeping.

Cleaning the Myosa S3

The Myosa® appliance should be cleaned under warm running water every time the patient removes it from their mouth.
Use Myoclean™ tablets to thoroughly clean twice a week. Myoclean™ is the recommended cleaning agent for all MRC appliances.
